For all SpaRoom® ultrasonic diffusers, always add water first, then essential oils.
Because water and oil do not naturally mix, ultrasonic vibrations break the water into micro-particles, allowing the essential oil to attach to them and disperse as a fine mist. If you add oil before water, the oil may settle at the bottom of the tank and reduce the performance of the ceramic disc that creates mist.
If you’d like to explore options that don’t require water, check out our Nebulizing Diffusers and Fan Diffusers, which diffuse pure essential oils without water.
Important Usage Tips
-
Always use 100% pure essential oils. Using fragrance oils or products with synthetic ingredients can damage your diffuser and void the warranty.
-
Fill water just below the MAX line — overfilling or underfilling may affect mist output.
-
Avoid pouring water into the air vent opening at the top of the tank, as it leads directly to the electronics.
How to Clean Your Diffuser
1. Cleaning Method
-
Pour a small amount of distilled white vinegar into the empty water tank, just enough to cover the base.
-
Let it soak overnight.
-
Rinse thoroughly with warm water (carefully avoiding the air vent).
-
Use a cotton swab or soft cloth to gently clean around the ceramic disc at the bottom.
-
Refill with water below the MAX line before next use.
2. Air-Drying Method
-
Remove the top cover and empty any remaining water.
-
Flip the base upside-down to air dry for at least 48 hours.
-
This helps prevent water from reaching the electronics through the air vent.
-
When refilling, always keep the water level below the MAX fill indicator.
